Mousa Mbayi Clovis has taken another step forward full fitness by returning to first team training at Vipers this week.
The Venoms forward has been sidelined with a hamstring problem for over a month and is yet to make any appearance in the Azam Uganda Premier League.
The setback has subsequently seen the forward miss games against Bright Stars, Bul FC, SC Villa and new comers Masavu FC.
Mbayi joined the first team training on Monday and looked fine as he took part in all the drills.
“I am feeling fine and ready to compete and help my team.” the striker said.
The coaches will however keep a keen eye on his progress in tomorrow’s team friendly before drafting him into the first team.
Meanwhile Halid Lwaliwa is making steady progress in his recovery from a knee injury and is close to a return.
The center back has shown great signs of improvement with his ball work and running drills.
Left winger Ezekiel Duncan Sseninde’s return date is not known yet after a scan revealed a damage on his metatarsal.
Vipers who took early command of the league log with 10pts, next play Police FC at Mandela National Stadium on October 14.
