Pius Wangi has steadily risen through the ranks; from St Mary’s School, Kitende football team to Vipers and sky is the limit for him.
“Wangi will be the next Farouk Miya at Vipers,” Vipers assistant coach Edward Golola believes.
Christened ‘Mzeei’ by his teammates, the forward has special attributes that have earned him a place in the starting eleven. His powerful shot, accuracy and speed torment opponents.
However, Wangi is yet to score a league for his Vipers this season but has two assists to his name already.
He was named in the U-20 Hippos team by Coach Keffa Kisala for the CAF U-20 Championship qualifiers but did not make the final team that travelled to Rwanda for the first leg.
