Three players from Vipers Sports Club featured for the Uganda National football team in the build up game against Madagascar.
Goalkeeper Ismail Watenga, skipper Nico Wakiro Wadada and forward Milton Karisa all played as the Cranes played against Madagascar at Startimes stadium, Lugogo on Wednesday.
Cranes suffered a shocking 2-1 defeat to Madagascar as they prepare ahead of the crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Ghana on Saturday.
Muzamiru Mutyaba had given the Cranes the lead in the first half but a second brace from Anoriananinicinos Rio Carolus condemned Uganda to a 2-1 loss.
Watenga started in goal for the Cranes and kept a clean sheet for the 45 minutes he was on the pitch.
The shot stopper made a couple of saves in the first half to keep the visitors at bay.
At the start of the second half, Cranes interim head coach Moses Basena introduced skipper Wadada and Karisa.
Wadada made several runs on the right flank and had several crosses inside the box but strikers Derrick Nsibambi and Geoffrey Sserunkuma were unlucky to convert.
Karisa too made efforts for the time he was on pitch but the visitors proved resilient to allow Cranes any chance.
The Cranes are second in group E with seven points, two behind leaders Egypt while Ghana and Congo Brazaville have five and one point respectively.
