Vipers sports club players comprising of goalkeeper Watenga Ismail, captain Nico Wadada, midfielder Deus Bukenya and striker Milton Karisa have been included in Uganda Cranes team travelling to South Sudan for a crucial Championship of Afrcan Nations (CHAN)qualifier.
Uganda Cranes home base players will take on their neighbors this Friday 14th July 2017 at the host’s national stadium in Juba.
The winner of this tie after two legs will engage either Tanzania or Rwanda in the last qualifying round for a slot in the final tournament to be hosted by Kenya next year.
Vipers Portuguese born coach Miguel Da Costa will be hoping for a positive outing of his key players ahead of the pre season preparations following Halid Lwaliwa’s serious injury in the Cranes Na Mutima campaign against Kitara region which required surgery on his right knee.
Veteran Sserunkuma Geofrey will captain the team against the Sudanese in Friday’s encounter.
