Having introduced new members on the technical team earlier on Monday, the club president Lawrence Mulindwa stressed the need to begin serious preparations as soon as possible.

During the first meeting with the players today chaired by Haruna Kyobe, the head of technical duties, they met the playing staff who was formally introduced to the new Vipers head coach Abdullah Mubiru. Mubiru was excited to meet and address the players with whom he expressed his willingness and hunger to win trophies.

“I am proud to be part of this winning family. Vipers has a great team of players whom I believe when we combine efforts we shall reach greater horizons,” Mubiru said.

Vipers’ players undergo medical and weigh in:

After releasing the week’s training program this afternoon, all the players underwent a medical checkup conducted by the team doctor Michael Lule and two other medical personnel.

The process involved BP tests or checking the blood pressure of players and taking their weight.

This exercise is going to be conducted at every start of the season and is compulsory for all Vipers players.

“We need not just good players but healthy and fit ones as well,” Lule stressed.
