Vipers shift focus to UPL as team trains


After putting up a scintillating performance over the weekend in which Vipers Sports Club earned a 3-1 victory over SC Bronken in Uganda Cup, the Venoms want to carry the same display to the Uganda Premier League (UPL).

With the UPL second round resuming this Saturday, the team will not take time to return to training.

The Venoms resume preparations this morning (Tuesday) ahead of the league encounter away to Soana FC in Wakiso over the weekend.

Besides, the players that are sidelined with injuries, the rest of the team will return to training today morning.

Among the players injured include; Shafik Bakaki (ankle) and Moses Waiswa (knock).

The others are Baden Mujahid (ankle) and goalkeeper Ismail Watenga (finger) and Halid Lwaliwa who is still recovering from a long injury.

The first leg encounter against Soana FC ended in a one all stalemate at St.Mary’s stadium.

Vipers SC ended the first round of the league in third place on 26 points.
